Wordpress Plug-in Available
July 2, 2005

I’ve been working on a new server version, and as part of the release I’ve built a Wordpress plug-in that makes it easy to integrate thumbnails and images from your Web Photos Pro photo albums into your Wordpress blog.

I had originally thought to build two plug-ins, one for those who publish static albums, and one for those who publish dynamic albums using Web Photo Pro Server Edition, but after coding both plug-ins I realized it would be simpler to release a single plug-in that worked for both cases.

Once you’ve installed the plug-in, inserting a thumbnail into a blog entry is as easy as adding a <wpp_image> tag. For example:

<wpp_image:/examples/skins/style_1/:My First Album:IMG_5757.JPG:110>

will insert this thumbnail:

and

<wpp_image:/examples/skins/style_1/:My First Album:IMG_4810.JPG:110>
Title: &lt:wpp_data:photo:title>
Description: <wpp_data:photo:description>

will insert a different thumbnail, along with its title and description:

Title: Intense
Description: Rosie wondering how best to get the tennis ball without getting wet.
